The 2016 conference will look at, amongst others, ways to harness trade and investment to realise the City of Tshwane’s Vision 2055, the role alternative financing models can play in infrastructure development, harnessisng the Cities core capabilities and opportunities to further attract trade and investment, as well as obtaining insights on dealing with common challenges in developing the sustainable Cities of the Future.

The 2016 conference aims to address the following issues, amongst others:

  • Understanding global and national trade and investment trends and its impact on growing local economies;
  • Government’s commitment and programmes aimed at attracting investment and growing the South African economy;
  • Ways to harness trade and investment to realise the City of Tshwane’s Vision 2055;
  • The role alternative financing models can play in infrastructure development, harnessing the Cities core capabilities and opportunities to further attract trade and investment; and
  • Understanding the challenges and opportunities of the following priority economic sectors: Research, Development, Innovation & Education; Automotive Manufacturing & Aerospace; the Green Economy; Agriculture & Agro-processing; Business Tourism & Property Development; and Business Process Outsourcing & Off-shoring.
